Santosh Narayanan joined FOOD in 1995 to concentrate on the organisation's activities involving the use of Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs) for socio-economic development. In addition to specialising in ICTs he possesses multidisciplinary exposure in social development projects such as community-owned enterprise development, micro-credits, etc. His responsibilities include project formulation, training, management of in-house specialists and external consultants, project documentation and monitoring & evaluation.

He has been instrumental in promoting open source software and electronic networking among NGOs. Projects implemented by him continue to be self-supportive sustainable programs even after outside funding is completed.

Santosh has been responsible for delivering training programmes to stakeholders for utilizing ICTs for microenterprise development, E-commerce as well as Internet and email skills for NGOs. Santosh is also a HP certified STSB/GET-IT curriculum trainer.

Santosh has regional field experience in Asia and his services have been utilized by several international organizations and government departments such as IDRC Canada, Pan Asia Networking, UNDP/APDIP, Government of Tamil Nadu, Singapore Housing & Development Board, etc.

Projects managed by him have won international awards like Ericsson Internet Community Awards, Stockholm Challenge Awards and Global Knowledge Conference Best Practice. Santosh brings together demonstrated skills in ICTs, over 12 years of professional experience coupled with personable interaction with all stakeholders.
